Our first wedding this year was the gorgeous Intimate Backyard Washington Wedding of Jade + Charles.
With so much all of the couples had going on this year, we were afraid none of our spring and summer couples would be able to have even smaller weddings, but these two were able to change their plans to have a much smaller wedding day and in our opinion it was simply perfect! Smaller weddings and elopements are so much more relaxed, the couple gets to spend actual quality time with each of their guests, and no one is running around (and if the timeline falls behind a bit, no worries! It’s that relaxed that we can basically make up any moment you want captured because it’s not such a rigid day as a big wedding).
Their wedding was so close to the WA + Oregon boarder, we just rented a super cute Airbnb in Portland for the weekend. Destination weddings often require a 1-2 night stay for us so we try to find affordable and cool airbnbs to hang in. This way we have some tried and true locations to reserve and recommend to our couples in different areas! So without many more words, here is a little peek into their wedding day.
Want a Pro tip on having amazing photos of your getting ready at home? Pick a room and literally clean it out, unless it’s a mirror, take things off walls, remove un-needed furniture and pick a chair for your hair and makeup and face the window with it <3 All of Jade’s getting ready photos were taken in her childhood bedroom and we absolutely freaking love that little detail.
You know that cute Airbnb we talked about? Yeah, here is the link: https://www.airbnb.com/associates/28706?s=67&c=.pi115.pk0_9&a4ptk=6439_0_9_28706&af=115
