When you think of a winter wedding in Washington, you mostly likely first think about rain and cold. What if I told you think wedding was at the end of winter and it was over 60 degrees outside and sunny?!
Angielene + Cameron’s Historic 1625 Tacoma Place wedding was as happy and glowing weather wise as the couple themselves! These two have such beautiful and kind souls, it absolutely warms our hearts when a couple like them comes into our lives! Surrounded by all of their family and friends it’s no wonder why they have so much love to give.
The day’s events unfolded with some gorgeous details (brides we ALWAYS encourage you to save a set of your invitations for detail photos because look at how they bring the whole vibe together!) and a first look that had everyone tearing up! The day flowed into a gorgeous ceremony and so many kudos to their pastor, who stepped off to the side for the first kiss! He’s now our new favorite officiant!
The reception dancing was such an amazing and unique experience! Angielene had prepared TWO special dances for her groom which she was so mesmerizing to watch, a hula dance and a traditional Taualuga dance, the word Taualuga in Samoan refers to the last stage of traditional house building in which the topmost rafter was secured to the building, signifying the completion of construction. The term “taualuga” symbolizes the conclusion of a monumental task and the beautifying final touches involved, which is perfect in it’s symbolism for a wedding day!
It was an amazing end to an amazing day. We can’t wait to go back down to the Historic 1625 Tacoma Place for another of our J+R Couples wedding next year! And we can’t wait to see all of the wonderful things that will come these two’s way!
