The 3rd Annual Skagit Wedding Tour
When we joined the Skagit Wedding Society in January just a month after we officially launched our business we had no idea how many meaningful connections we would make and new friends we would gain. I have to say to two photographers starting out we just can’t soak up enough of the wisdom of our seniors in the industry, and we are so thankful to have had some of the people we shared our tour space with just willingly and happily share advice and their knowledge with us so freely! We just have to throw in yet another shout out to these 4 special ladies: Jocelin who runs the Eaglemonts Weddings and Events Venue, Danielle who is an amazing Boudoir photographer, Pam of Alicia’s Bridal, and last but certainly not least, Kimberly of KW Weddings! Thank you for making Jeff & I feel like apart of the family! 🙂
Jeff & I really wanted to compliment our booth color theme with the venue, so we styled our booth with tons of gold, blush and soft tones to make a beautiful yet eye attracting booth. We were thrilled with how it all turned out! From the picture frames Jeff spray painted, to the heart confetti I punched out piece by piece, it was completely worth all of the time and effort it took to put together! We are just so happy to have met some really great couples from the tour, love stories, especially weddings, are our favorite thing to capture behind a lens!
Now onto the details of our main theme of Love at First Blush.
We turned the entire up stair Reception area into a dream land of flowing fabrics, soft hues and romantic elegance! The blush and ivory tones paired perfectly with all of the gold accents throughout the room. A huge kudos goes to Kimberly, who helped to put together the whole theme and came up with the idea of these colors in the first place! 🙂 This venue is just completely gorgeous, adding the soft drapery to frame all of the windows made it feel like a fairy tale inside. I hope you enjoy our main theme I know we did!
We also set up the down stairs with a pop up wedding dress shop, and a second theme of Dr. Who! Here are some of the pictures of the table settings for you to indulge your geeky side! 🙂
This tour was a wonderful experience, one that we can’t wait to participate in again next year!
